Google PR & Backlinks Update Sept 29, 2006
Posted by Miles Evans

I saw Google PR rankings and backlinks change across 3 datacenters today and the PR has finally spread to my toolbar. The change seems to be propagating now so this must be an official update. W00t.
So I guess the Pluto Update was really just an engineer messing around. If anyone is curious these are the servers where the changes were initially spotted but it has spread to a few more as of this writing:

Props to this thread at WMW for alerting me.

Apparently, the lagging data centers are using a slightly older infrastructure for a few query types that are off the beaten path a bit (info:, link:, toolbar PageRank queries, etc.).

Hmmm...maybe the update will help me somehow. Afterall, it doesn't hurt PR 0 and 1 sites, now does it? LOL

If you are a BANS user and want to get in on some of that eBay Motors action, then you have probably noticed that the category numbers for eBay Motors are really hard to find. They are not listed on the default page you get category numbers from. So what do you do?
