SES China - Johnny Chow Video
Posted by Miles Evans

Alright this is my first attempt at messing around with video in any way so it is far from a superb job. The audio of Johnny Chow is not the greatest as scoring a microphone that would interface with my camera at the last minute in Shanghai proved mission impossible. It’s quite watchable I think. For those who do not know Johny Chow is CEO of Google China. One was has to be impressed with the man’s speaking ability, expecially considering English is his second language.
In the video Mr. Chow covers a bit about Google China and what he sees in store for the future of the company in the big red. He mentioned that he feels China will soon be the leader in global search in terms of usage numbers and some other topics of interest.
Note to self: make a tutorial for encoding and streaming flash video. Even on a duo-core CPU with souped up everything it took about 30 mins to encode this 9 minute clip. Imagine doing that over and over and over again and you get an idea of the time this takes. I am still on the fence whether or not Flash is ready for this type of stuff. Anyways...
Johnny Chow Video (flash video will pop-up in it's own window - press play and your video will load)
Watch this space for updates including more photos and video from SES China 2006 in Nanjing. Once I have the proper permissions from the various speakers I will get these up as soon as I can. The site clinic and link building session are likely candidates.
